Searching for a Warzone Aiming Routine? You’ve come to the right place at the right time. I wanted to share a good, solid aim routine that brought me to the 3KD squad. There are many aspects in Warzone that contribute to your KD, but one of the key elements is being a good aimer. And after this guide, you will be the best aimer on the island. The secret is not just “play more”, it is “play right”. Playing more is a very good tip, tbh, but you should focus on the right stuff to do and you will be set. I barely play the game nowadays (college is no fun) and I still manage to improve my aim just because I know how to practice it efficiently. Let’s get started!
Part 1 - Aim Trainer
If you are still not using an aim trainer. Well, you should. Aim trainers are a great way to practice your aim. But Yaron, doesn’t, playing the game is better for practicing my aim? Yes, yes it is. The problem is the downtime. You will find yourself way too much time in a lobby, waiting to respawn, searching for enemies, looting etc. Using an aim trainer means you focus 100% of your time on shooting targets. That’s the great power of an aim trainer and that’s why I am a huge advocate of aim training. Plus, you can focus on your weaknesses and fix them fairly quickly. I have a full guide on how to use aim trainers to improve your aim. Check it out here: Best Routine For Any FPS Game and How To Train Your Aim Effectively
My routine is, usually 30 minutes before playing the game and sometimes if I have time I would just go into Kovaaks for another 30 minute session just to keep my aim sharp.
Part 2 - In Game
There is a couple of options on in game training.
- Plunder – Caldera Plunder is bad. Even you land airport it is just so boring and you don’t find many people. But, they added Rebirth Plunder and oh boy. It is phenomenal. You can get so many engagements in so little time. Actually, I think it is one of the best, if not the best way to practice and hone your in game skills. It is so cluttered, so many fights and enemies in one place. A must, in my opinion. Every time it is a featured playlist I make sure to hop on and destroy some kids. I even managed to get a 56 kills game. Pretty impressive for a few games, I would say.
- Custom Match – If you own the MW, you have access to custom matches. Pick a small map like Shipment, Speedball, or Aisle 9. Add as many targets as possible and focus on tapping heads. Don’t spray, just focus on clicking heads. Precision is key. 15 minutes and you should be good to go. Also, you can adjust the bots health to mimic Warzone HP and by doing that, you will shift the focus of your training to be more tracking-heavy. Make sure to switch between the practices so you will practice on all of your aiming abilities. Another tip is turning on headshots only. Really works on that crosshair placement.
- Shipment – You either love Shipment, or you hate it. I am obsessed with it. There is so much chaos, so much going on. You easily get 60 kills in a match. You will fight non-stop and you will get better in every aspect of Call Of Duty. If it is too chaotic for you, you can try Shoot House. A really solid map as well. I switch between the two depending on how I feel. But, if I am focusing on improving my aim, I prefer custom matches as I feel they are dedicated to improving my aim. Shipment sometimes is just too chaotic.
- Land Hop Spots – go ahead and land Prison and Control. You will learn how to fight with ground loot, with pistols. How to land faster. Some people might argue that people will demolish you as soon as you land. But I have 2 answers for that:
- SBMM – Skill Based Matchmaking is so strong in the game. You will play against opponents of similar skill levels. You should be fine.
- Dropping chemistry and searching for enemies for 5 minutes is just a waste of time. You want to get good, play efficiently.
Part 3 - Settings
I will just go ahead and briefly cover the basics that may be stopping you from achieving your full potential.
- Senstivity – Sometimes it gets overlooked, but it is very important. I see many people who ask me to help them with their aim and almost everyone has their sens cranked up and it is just so bad. Of course you miss your shots. How can you not miss them? I swear almost every bad player can improve so much just by getting a lower sens. Check out my guide for finding the right sens for you: BEST Sensitivity For FPS Games.
- Good gear – Don’t play on a Microsoft Basic (no disrespect), get a good, quality gaming mouse like Logitech G Pro, the most used mouse by pro gamers. I use it myself and I swear it made me a better aimer overnight.
- FPS and HZ – get a monitor with 144hz+. It helps immensely with the tracking. I recommend BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K 240hz (Affilate). Increase your FPS, even 60 is not enough imo. Aim for 144 at least. Of course, that’s not an easy task with the game’s optimization, but try your best. Lower your settings, get a better PC etc. Check out this optimization guide: https://prosettings.net/cod-warzone-best-settings-options-guide/.
Part 4 - General
I have a full article dedicated to the general question, How To Improve Your Aim. I have written there a bunch of tips that can be applied to any game, but especially Warzone as I am Warzone player currently, so make sure to check that out. Link: How To Improve Your Aim. If you are really lazy then here is a TL:DR:
- Practice, A LOT
- Warm Up
- Crosshair Placement – Aim to the head
- Still Calm
- Stay Consistent
- Stay Hydrated
- Eat Healthy Food
- Focus While Aim Training
- Take Breaks
But I would highly suggest checking that guide out if you are serious about improving your aim.
Keep Slapping
I want to see you increase your KD by atleast 1 point. If you are here, that means you are serious and you can do this. Keep slapping and have a great day.
