We just got a new season with a whole new weapon tuning. Today, I am going to go over the general Season 3 meta so I can give you guys the best loadouts to destroy some plebs in Warzone.
Disclaimer: Meta takes time to build. It will take a couple of weeks until we finally see the full changes. These weapons are your best choice as of right now. In a couple of weeks some things may change as people experiment with new weapons and attachments.
In short, the CW AK-47 and XM4 are still the meta kings, Owen Gun, MP40 and LAPA are the smg kings. For snipers, ZRG is the choice.
AR's
We didn’t see a whole lot of weapon tuning in AR’s and I feel like the meta barely moves in this category.
Cold War AK-47
The king of the assault rifles. Great damage, recoil is not as easy as Automaton or XM4, but it’s a beast non-the less. Probably my 2nd favorite AR in the game right now.

XM4
My favorite AR in the game. got nerfed in season 3 but not enough to change its position in the meta. Easy recoil and damage is top notch.

Automaton
You don’t want recoil? This is the build for you. Of the best AR’s in the game right now, although I am not a fan favorite of Vangaurd AR’s as they feel quite weak to me. But it’s a beast non-the less.

Honorable Mentions
- C58 and Vargo 52 – Both are beats and you should try and rock them as well. For me, I find the XM4 and AK-47 better.
- STG44 – Just got buffed and from what I noticed it’s pretty solid. Not sure if meta but you should keep an eye on this weapon.
- Grau – A classic that will remain a classic. No recoil, pretty solid. Feels a bit weak to me, but maybe I’ve been running AK-47 and XM4 too much.
SMG's
The Owen Gun and MP40 finally got nerfed. But is it enough? I don’t think so. They are weaker and there is a place for more viable weapons like Bullfrog, Millano, MP5 (CW & MW) but they are till top tier IMO.
Owen Gun
TTK king. This weapon slaps and deletes people like holy moly. It did get nerfed, but not enough. Still cracked.

MP40
They did nerf the MP40, but again, not enough to become not meta. Still deletes people, but, a tiny bit slower.

LAPA
LAPA is a SLAPPA. This gun slaps, good TTK, easy to control. Just a very good gun. My favorite out of the SMGs ATM. (Owen Gun burned out) I play this gun with Diamatti and take Restock as a perk. SLAPS.
- Muzzle – Agency Suppressor
- Barrel – 7.9″ Rifled
- Optic – Microflex LED
- Stock – Raider Stock
- Magazine – STANAG 50 Rnd
Honorable Mentions
- Type 100 – Slaps, but hard to control. I used to put a stock that increases Recoil Control and roll with that. But it got nerfed in the last update and I am still not sure how I feel about that.
- Welgun – Great weapon all around, really got shadowed but Owen Gun and MP40 last season, but I think it’s the Welgun comeback now.
- PPSH-41 – Slaps. Hip fire though, so it’s very situational.
- OTS – A really solid weapon. I recommend if you feel comfortable with it. But still, VG SMG’s are just better.
Sniper Rifles
Sniper rifles got a big nerf. With the Kar and the Swiss (Best snipers before this season) you can’t kill with a headshot anymore after 50M. Which in Rebirth is okayish, but in Caldera it is just straight bad (who plays Caldera anyways). This is where we need to give time to the players to experiment, to find the meta. But, I was browsing Reddit and I found this ZRG loadout which slaps. You should totally try it. I don’t know if it’s meta, but no one knows the meta right so it’s your best shot.

You can still run Kar and Swiss but after 50M you will no longer kill with 1 headshot so only play with them if you play Rebirth and play very aggresive.
Go Ahead And Demolish Them
So now you have the best weapons as of the time of posing this article, so go ahead and make me proud.
