I will tell you a secret. Everything that I own, every piece of gaming equipment I bought, I chose from lists like this. I reasearch what are the best FPS players in the world use, and I buy it for myself. I’ve never been let down. And for a good reason. If it is good for the top 0.0001% of players, then it is good for me. (Only the top 1%).

Before I begin, I have to make a shoutout to Prosettings.net for acquiring this info. Make sure to check out their site for more info.

So today, I am going over the top 5 gaming mice that professional players use, starting with number 1, my favorite and the most popular gaming mouse on the market and that is:

1. Logitech G Pro X Superlight

Sensor: Hero Optical
DPI: 100-25600
Polling Rate: 125 / 250 / 500 / 1000
Connection: Wireless

Design: Ambidextrous
Weight: 62g / 2.19 oz
Size: Medium

Logitech G Pro X Superlight, the new flashy, 63 grams wireless mouse. The number one pick for mouse by pro players, and for good reason. This mouse is the reason that wireless can win when compared against wired mice. (Wireless Vs Wired Gaming Mice)

It uses the HERO sensor, which is one of the best sensors on the market. It has the new LIGHTSPEED technology, which in simple words means, that high latency or disconnections are non-existent. The weight (62 grams) is perfect for FPS games, and its battery, can hold up to 50 hours of use. Its shape is safe and comfortable, even during long hours of use. Its extremely easy to get used to and the grip is just godly. What is there not to like?

Easily one of the best choices for a gaming mouse. If you are looking for a lightweight wireless mouse, then look no further. Very impressive product from Logitech. I am sure we will see this mouse for a long time.

But, if you are looking for a good wireless mouse but a little heavier than 62 grams, then I’ve got the perfect solution for you.

2. Logitech G Pro

Sensor: Hero Optical
DPI: 100-16000
Polling Rate: 125 / 250 / 500 / 1000
Connection: Wireless

Design: Ambidextrous
Weight: 81g / 2.85 oz
Size: Medium

Logitech G Pro. Logitech G Pro X Superlight, older brother. Holds the same quality sensor, technology and all that. But, 20 grams heavier. This mouse weighs around 80 grams and is perfect for anyone who is still not sold out on the lightweightness meta. (Light Gaming Mice Vs Heavy Gaming Mice).

I would say that this and the Superlight X are hands down the best mice on the market right now. The only difference, really, is just the 20g. But let’s talk about the mouse itself.

The weight, the size, the shape, everything is just perfect. It is a classic of a mouse and I 100% recommend it to everyone I can. I, myself use this mouse, but I am thinking on upgrading to Logitech G Pro X Superlight. So I could have an even lighter mouse.

To summarize, if you want a wireless gaming mouse but lean more to the heavy side, get Logitech G Pro. If you want that extra lightweightness, get the Superlight. Both are great choices.

3. Zowie EC2

Sensor: 3360 Optical
DPI: 400 / 800 / 1600 / 3200
Polling Rate: 125 / 500 / 1000
Connection: Wired

Design: Ergonomic
Weight: 87g /3.06 oz
Size: Medium

Zowie EC2. There is something about this mouse that CS:GO players just love. Maybe because it was actually made for CS:GO? Well, Zowie succeeded in theirs task. Zowie 100% dominates the CSGO scene, and for good reason.

People swear that Zowie EC2 cracked the formula for comfort. This mouse has one of the best gaming mice shapes on the market. It is very comfortable, suitable for any grip type. Got the 3360 sensor, which makes for a flawless experience.

But it weighs around 87g. Which is a bit on the heavier side, nothing too serious, but many people prefer nowadays a lighter mouse. So make sure to take note of that.

I know this is obvious, but don’t forget that Zowie EC2 is a wired mouse. Wireless mice are just from a different breed. Its like the first upgrade from 60hz to 144hz monitor. You can never go back. But if cable is not an issue, then it is a very good mouse. Probably one of the best wired mice on the market.

4. Razer DeathAdder V2

Sensor: Focus+ Optical
DPI: 100-20000
Polling Rate: 125 / 500 / 1000
Connection: Wired

Design: Ergonomic
Weight: 89g / 2.82 oz
Size: Large

Razer DeathAdder V2. Oh boy, this is just a classic. I’ve had 2 of these and man, those were the days. But let’s talk about this mouse, shall we?

First of all, when talking about the sensor and the technology, you know you can count on it. Flawless experience, really high quality sensor, like we would expect for this mouse. The materials are high quality and it can handle sweat and fingerprints with no problems.

It is on the bigger side, so if your hands are on the smaller side, this mouse is not for you. But, its shape, again, is very safe and comfortable, and generally every grip type should be comfortable here. But, take note that it has a higher bump than some other mice on the list, so maybe the fingertip grip type might not be ideal. But I’ve rocked DeathAdder Elite for years with a fingertip and I was fine, but my hands are big though.

Its downsides, like the EC2 are its weight, and cable. You can get a wireless model (Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro) but it is even heavier. So there’s that. If you don’t mind, it is one of the most popular gaming mice out there. (Probably the most known one).

Bonus: Xtrfy M42

Sensor: 3389 Optical
DPI: 400 / 800 / 1200 / 1600 / 3200 / 4000 / 7200 / 16000
Polling Rate: 125 / 250 / 500 / 1000
Connection: Wired

Design: Ambidextrous
Weight: 60g / 2.12 oz
Size: Small

Xtrfy M42. The new brand, Xtrfy is really surprising with its mice. Came fast and really shocked us with its high quality mouse. M42, is no different.

The 3389 sensor is great, there are no surprises here so you can count on this mouse to be perfect in-game.

Its shape is very interesting. It comes with 2 back panels so you can choose your preference. One with a bigger hump, and one with a smaller hump. It is very safe and comfortable, but it is pretty small though.

Did we talk about the meme holes? No? So yeah, it is covered with holes to reduce its weight. Some people don’t mind it. Some people hate it. But it feels nice and grippy. Feels really good in your hand.

Of course, it is wired, so make sure to take note of that. And it is pretty small. Outside of that, looks like Xtrfy is looking to rock the boat and really compete with the top mice brands today. And I would say that they are doing great. Really impressive mouse overall.

Logitech G Pro X Wireless is the best gaming mouse on the market. It has the HERO sensor, which allows for a flawless and seamless experience. It is wireless and its latency is lower than some other competitive gaming mice. Its shape is fantastic and very safe. And it weighs around 62g which is ideal for FPS gaming.

TL:DR

The most used gaming mice by professional players in 2022 are:
