So you’ve decided you are serious about improving your aim. After reading so many guides about how to do it. Your next big question is for how long should I do it? How long should you train your aim each day?

In short, warming up should take about 15-30 minutes. An aim training routine outside your game should be 30-60 minutes. And training in game can take a little bit more time. In general, I wouldn’t cross the 2 hours mark.

Outside Of The Game

There are many tools available for you in this section. Aimlab, Kovaaks, hell, even Osu. They are great tools and you should definitely include them in your aiming routine. The catch is, they are not the best way to improve your aim. It is simple, but if you want to be better in Siege, then go and play Siege. That’s it. Like soccer players, they do drills and play soccer.

I would say about 15-30 is more than enough for a warm up session. For a training session, I would say 30-60 minutes MAX. You don’t want to put too much pressure on yourself and over train. Ideally, you should aim train before you go to bed. Same with muscles, you grow when you rest. Don’t over do-it and sit all day in Aimlab. When they say practice makes perfect, make sure the practice is effective. Sitting all day in Aimlab, I wouldn’t say that’s effective. There is a serious case of diminishing results in aim training – the more you train, the less you get. And if you over train, it is plain harmful for your aim.

Inside The Game

When I am saying aim training inside the game I am mainly talking about deathmatch and custom matches. Here, I would say the rules above apply as well, but the session can be a little longer. You are not practicing pure aim abilities in Aimlab. You are using the game’s movement, mechanics, game sense etc. And I feel like there is less pure strain on my system when training in the game. That’s why I recommend a longer training session when training in-game.

For me, I can sit in Aimlab for 45 minutes max. But in a deathmatch, for example, I can play 2 hours straight. Just hop into a CS:GO deathmatch server and roll.

Ideal Routine

So my ideal routine would be like this:

  1. Warm-up Aimlab – 15-20 minutes
  2. Play The Game
  3. Take A Break (optional, depending on your time)
  4. Aim Train In Game – 60 minutes
  5. Aim Train In Aimlab – 30 minutes
  6. Go To Sleep – Rest etc

Take a break on the weekend or on Monday. Let yourself rest and regenerate. If you feel this routine is requiring too much mental or physical effort. Tune down the length of each session. Take more rest days and don’t aim train every day. It is up to the individual, so go ahead and create your own ideal routine.

You know I am a huge preacher of a healthy lifestyle. You don’t even imagine how much it can help. But please, eat healthy, stay hydrated, and get at least 8 hours of sleep. It will do wonders for you.

So now you know for how long you should train. So what are you waiting for? Launch your game and start practicing. See you in-game and keep slapping!
